Hello,

welcome to my page.
My name is Tímea Wölfling and I work as a personal trainer/flexibility coach.

The main objective of my classes is to strengthen the muscles surrounding the joints, thus develop my students so-called functional flexibility.

This type of flexibility lets them use their improved range of motion in their everyday and sports life.

In class there are no passive stretching techniques used, I am not pushing anyone into any pose. We are focusing on strengthening and stretching the muscles in order to acquire enough strength and flexibility to lift the legs higher, squat deeper, sit with a straight back, lean deeper forward, etc.
Many of my students say that the training also helps them have less pain while sitting at work or practicing their chosen sports.

About the technique

My classes are based on two training techniques: pilates and Kintortion Method. The latter one is a training method developed specifically for flexibility training from beginner to contortion-level moves (contortion is a performance art where extreme flexibility and balancing skills are showcased).

Pilates is a widley known movement system where there is a huge focus on stabilizer muscle work (less spectacular but very important muscles). Breathing is always synchronized with movement. The appropriate posture makes sure that the targeted body parts and muscles will work, without any compensation.

In case of the Kintortion Method, strenghtening and stretching the muscles is just as important, but the exercises are more intense and targeted to certain body parts. There is a huge focus on moving slowly and holding certain poses longer.

The trainings are a mixture of the above mentioned techniques plus some other flexibility training and balancing exercises. The classes consist of many preparational and strenghtening drills, the stretching part is always active and performed with our own muscle strength.

Group class exercises have many-many variations, this way all participants can improve their skills (those who are coming for first time as well as those who are learning more difficult flexibility moves).
For extreme flexibility poses/combinations or specific training programs it is advised to choose the individual classes.
