I am Tímea Wölfling, I work as a sports instructor and have been teaching pole sports for 5 years, stretching for 2 years.
- "OKJ" Sports Instructor Certification - 2014
- elevatED Flexibility Trainer Certification - 2019 - This course is acknowledged by the US Fitness Association.
Sport has been an important part of my life since my childhood: I first practiced artistic gymnastics and later rhytmic gymnastics at an amateur level. After a few years of hiatus, I got back to regular exercise about 8 years ago - this was when I walked into my first pole class and I immediately fell in love with it.
While practising and teaching, I went to several pole sport competitions as well and in 2017 and 2018 placed third at the Hungarian Pole Sports Championships - elite category.

Flexibility is very important in pole sports so I soon got interested in stretching. Unfortunately, at the beginning I was performing the stretching exercises with little knowledge and put myself into extreme poses without proper preparation. This led to injuries which affected not only my trainings but my everyday life as well.
In the past few years I have been working hard on strengthening AND stretching my otherwise loose muscles. I started to take yoga and ballett classes - the latter is not only good for improving posture and body awareness but it strengthens the muscles a lot. I completed a special trainer course called elevatED Flexibility Training which is focusing on safe stretching with a lot of strengthening and muscle activation.
Of course this is a slower process but it is absolutely fantastic to see the results: that I can perform the poses and moves I tried years ago - but now with STRONG and ELASTIC muscles, without and pain or injuries.
As all sports done as a young person, gymnastics helped me during my pole training as well. At the same time I feel that starting/restarting any sport as an adult is so much harder. Our bodies change a lot with time and they require different training techniques.
I don't think that if someone has not practised any sport as a young person then can not achieve remarkable success later, but it is very important HOW he/she does it.
On my classes I am mixing the techniques of all the exersices I am practising: pole sports, yoga and ballett. In addition, I am learning from sport experts and stretching/contortion instructors.
It is very important for me to create a nice atmosphere during classes so that everyone forgets about the daily problems and leaves the class room physically tired but mentally refreshed. When I restarted sports as an adult I had a job that required a lot of concentration and the training helped me to relieve the daily stress. I always left with a big simle on my face and as an instructor I hope to pass on the same to my students.
I look forward to see you on my classes! I hope that I can help you to reach your goals - let it be a given pose, better performance in your sport or just a great training.
